Day 1 of Term 2 saw Manuka students airing their thoughts on everything that they think is not fair about their life. Most statements involved siblings. (Some things don't change!). Stay tuned for some examples.
We chose the statement we felt most strongly about and rated it on a human continuum, with 0 (nearest the camera) being slightly unfair and 10 being REALLY unfair. Take a look at us.
We had a big discussion afterwards on how students felt at different times. It was interesting that Chloe, the only one from Manuka and one of only ten in the school to get McDonalds, felt both happy and guilty. It was also interesting that some people who got rice appeared more annoyed than some students who got nothing.
More discussion will definitely follow! Meanwhile, take a look at some photos. Can you guess how the students are feeling? What do you think they got to eat?
